Tetraspanin CD151 Is a Negative Regulator of FcepsilonRI (Montrer FCER1A Anticorps)-Mediated Mast Cell Activation
Integrin-associated CD151 represses mammary branching morphogenesis by controlling progenitor cell activities, extracellular matrix integrity and transcription program.
Study provide additional evidence that CD151 acts to enhance tumor formation initiated by a range of oncogenes.
We identify CD151 as a critical factor in tetradecanoylphorbol acetate-dependent skin carcinogenesis.
Loss of CD151 is associated with drug sensitivity in skin squamous cell carcinoma.
study provides strong evidence that CD151 collaborates with LB integrins (particularly alpha6beta4 and ErbB2 (Montrer ERBB2 Anticorps) (and EGFR (Montrer EGFR Anticorps)) receptors to regulate multiple signaling pathways, thereby driving mammary tumor onset, survival, and metastasis
CD151 importantly modulates podocyte function.
establish CD151 as a crucial modifier of integrin-mediated adhesion of podocytes to the GBM and show that blood pressure is an important factor in the initiation and progression of Cd151 knockout-induced nephropathy
CD151 maintains vascular stability by promoting endothelial cell adhesions, especially cell-cell adhesion, and confining cytoskeletal tension.
diminished metastasis in CD151-null host animals may be due to impaired tumor-endothelial interactions, with underlying defects in mouse lung endothelial cell extracellular matrix production.
the tetraspanin CD151 contributes to survival of a subset of high-grade serous ovarian cancer cell lines.
CD151 in humans thus marks and enables hyperproliferative T cells.
Here, we demonstrate for the first time that the tetraspanin CD151 supports lymphocyte adhesion to liver endothelium. We show that CD151 is upregulated in chronic liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC (Montrer FAM126A Anticorps)) and is regulated on endothelium by tissue remodeling and procarcinogenic factors.
Our data uncover a previously unknown mechanism for modulating human airway smooth muscle contraction, implicating CD151 as a determinant of airway hyper-responsiveness in vivo, likely through regulation of G protein-coupled receptor (Montrer ADRA1A Anticorps)-induced calcium mobilization and protein kinase c (Montrer PKC Anticorps) signaling
Reciprocal fusion gene involving TSPAN4 (Montrer TSPAN4 Anticorps)-CD151 is associated with infratentorial anaplastic ependymoma.
High CD151 expression is associated with hepatocellular carcinoma.
Eight and five of the nine samples were negative for cell adhesion molecule 1 (Montrer CADM1 Anticorps) and Osterix (Montrer SP7 Anticorps) respectively. The other markers showed no statistical significance(CD151,ALP (Montrer ALP Anticorps)). osteoblastic differentiation can occur in carcinoma cells and that cell adhesion molecule 1 (Montrer CADM1 Anticorps) could be a useful marker for identifying this phenomenon in carcinoma tissues.
The findings suggest that, in contrast with previous models, the ligand-binding site of integrin alphaVbeta3 (Montrer ITGAV Anticorps), binds to the constant region (helices A and B) of the EC2 (Montrer TCF15 Anticorps) domain of CD9 (Montrer CD9 Anticorps), CD81 (Montrer CD81 Anticorps), and CD151 antigens.
High CD151 expression is associated with Human Cytomegalovirus Infection.
Knockdown and knockout models revealed that CD151 and Tspan8 (Montrer TSPAN8 Anticorps) act as molecular facilitators in wound healing, angiogenesis and tumor progression. [review]
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. Most of these members are cell-surface proteins that are characterized by the presence of four hydrophobic domains. The proteins mediate signal transduction events that play a role in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility. This encoded protein is a cell surface glycoprotein that is known to complex with integrins and other transmembrane 4 superfamily proteins. It is involved in cellular processes including cell adhesion and may regulate integrin trafficking and/or function. This protein enhances cell motility, invasion and metastasis of cancer cells. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode the same protein have been described for this gene.
