By in situ hybridization, KCNS3 mRNA levels were 23% lower in schizophrenia subjects than in controls. At the cellular level, both KCNS3 mRNA-expressing neuron density and KCNS3 mRNA level per neuron were significantly lower.
stromatoxin-1 -sensitive KV2 (Montrer KCNA6 Anticorps)-containing channels are expressed in detrusor smooth muscle (DSM); they control DSM excitability, intracellular Ca2 (Montrer CA2 Anticorps)+ levels, and myogenic and nerve-evoked contractions
There is evidence of heteromultimeric Kv2.1 (Montrer KCNB1 Anticorps)/Kv9.3 channel expression in control of middle cerebral arterial diameter.
Our findings suggest that SNPs located at the 3' downstream region of KCNS3 have a significant role in the etiology of AHR (Montrer AHR Anticorps).
formation of heteromeric Kv2.1 (Montrer KCNB1 Anticorps)/Kv9.3 channels of fixed stoichiometry consisting of three Kv2.1 (Montrer KCNB1 Anticorps) subunits and one Kv9.3 subunit
Voltage-gated potassium channels form the largest and most diversified class of ion channels and are present in both excitable and nonexcitable cells. Their main functions are associated with the regulation of the resting membrane potential and the control of the shape and frequency of action potentials. The alpha subunits are of 2 types: those that are functional by themselves and those that are electrically silent but capable of modulating the activity of specific functional alpha subunits. The protein encoded by this gene is not functional by itself but can form heteromultimers with member 1 and with member 2 (and possibly other members) of the Shab-related subfamily of potassium voltage-gated channel proteins. This gene belongs to the S subfamily of the potassium channel family.
