- Sujet
- ATG5 is an important element forautophagy and may also play an important role in the apoptotic process. Following conjugation to ATG12, the conjugate participates in the formation of autophagosome. While the mRNA is ubiquitously transcribed its expression is highly upregulated in apoptotic cells. Also known as: APG5-like, ATG5, ASP, APG5, APG5L, hAPG5, apoptosis-specific protein.
