Specificité: The antibody detects endogenous level of AKT1 only when phosphorylated at threonine 450.

Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography usingepitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removedby chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.

Immunogène: Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pThr450 (T-I-T (p) -P-P) derived from Human AKT1. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates.

Plays a role in glucose transport by mediating insulin-induced translocation of the GLUT4 glucose transporter to the cell surface. Mediates the antiapoptotic effects of IGF-I.
