Human Apolipoprotein A (APOA) interaction partners

  1. Lp(a) molar/mass ratios are threshold, method, and isoform dependent

  2. Meta-analysis: Genetic variations at the LPA locus are associated with CHD events during statin therapy independently of the extent of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol lowering.

  3. Lp(a) accelerates progression of atherosclerosis in these individuals, thereby contributing to their increased ASCVD risk

  4. Proinflammatory interleukin 1 (IL-1(+)) genotypes modulate the risk of Lp(a) long-term cardiovascular disease (CVD) events and coronary artery disease (CAD).

  5. The autors results confirm the association between LPA SNPs rs10455872 and rs3798220 with AS and demonstrated that individuals with 2 risk alleles have a 2-fold or greater odds of developing AS.

  6. The LPA 9p21 locus was associated with risk of aortic valve stenosis.

  7. High lipoprotein(a) levels were associated with a higher incidence of major adverse limb events after endovascular treatment for patients with aortoiliac lesions.

  8. In a multiethnic sample, Lp(a)-related risks of heart failure were only evident in white participants.

  9. High plasma lipoprotein a levels accelerated the progression of atherosclerosis in end-stage renal disease through lipoprotein a accumulation in the arteries.

  10. The population differences in Lp(a) concentrations between Finnish and Central European populations originate not only from a different LPA isoform distribution but suggest the existence of novel functional variation in the small-isoform range.

  11. Elevated lipoprotein(a) concentrations were independently associated with an increased risk of abdominal aortic aneurysms.

  12. Lp(a) seems to be an independent risk factor for acute coronary syndromes in individuals <45 years, and high Lp(a) levels increase by approximately 3folds the risk for ACS. The association is preserved but is less in middle-aged individuals (45-60 years) and is abolished >60 years.

  13. Common p2y13 polymorphisms are associated with plasma inhibitory factor 1 and lipoprotein(a) concentrations, heart rate and body fat mass and may modulate cardiovascular risk.

  14. Elevated Lp(a) levels were independently associated with the presence and severity of coronary artery disease in patients with type 2 diabetes.

  15. pplication of system Lipoprint (Quantimetrix USA) provides no opportunity to unequivocally interpret data concerning input of sub-fractions of lipoproteins into risk of development of cardio-vascular diseases in patients with pathological lipid profile and higher concentration of lipoprotein (a).

  16. Elevated Lp(a) levels were independent predictors of increases in carotid atherosclerosis burden.

  17. The common variant rs12740374 associated with Lp(a) cholesterol is a quantitative trait locus for SORT1 which is independent of LDL cholesterol.

  18. elevated serum Lp(a) levels can predict the risk of early stroke recurrence in patients with first-ever ischemic stroke.

  19. Letter/Meta-analysis: lipoprotein(a) SNP rs10455872 is with aortic stenosis risk.

  20. Apo(a) attenuates cell-surface plasmin-mediated conversion of Glu- to Lys-plasminogen.

Apolipoprotein A (APOA) profil antigène

Antigen Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is a serine proteinase that inhibits the activity of tissue-type plasminogen activator I. The encoded protein constitutes a substantial portion of lipoprotein(a) and is proteolytically cleaved, resulting in fragments that attach to atherosclerotic lesions and promote thrombogenesis. Elevated plasma levels of this protein are linked to atherosclerosis. Depending on the individual, the encoded protein contains 2-43 copies of kringle-type domains. The allele represented here contains 15 copies of the kringle-type repeats and corresponds to that found in the reference genome sequence.
