Study demonstrates that the levels of Prp19 (Montrer PRPF19 Anticorps) and Cdc5L are overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC (Montrer FAM126A Anticorps)). Prp19 (Montrer PRPF19 Anticorps) binds with Cdc5L and its downregulation results in reduction of Cdc5L. Mechanistic insights reveal that silencing Prp19 (Montrer PRPF19 Anticorps) compromises translation activity of Cdc5L and facilitates lysosome-induced degradation of Cdc5L in HCC (Montrer FAM126A Anticorps) cells.
CDC5L might play an important role in glioma cell survival and disease progression.
Cdc5L was highly expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma. Overexpression of Cdc5L favors cell cycle progress of HCC (Montrer FAM126A Anticorps) cells, while downregulation of Cdc5L results in cell cycle arrest at G2/M phase and reduced cell proliferation of HCC (Montrer FAM126A Anticorps) cells.
The results show that CTNNBL1 (Montrer CTNNBL1 Anticorps) enhances the association of CWC15 (Montrer CWC15 Anticorps) and CDC5L, both core Prp19 (Montrer PRPF19 Anticorps) complex proteins and identify an overlap in the region of CDC5L that binds either CTNNBL1 (Montrer CTNNBL1 Anticorps) or CWC15 (Montrer CWC15 Anticorps) suggesting the two proteins might exchange places in the complex.
Cdc5L is a key regulator of mitotic progression.
The N-terminal ARM-repeat domain of CTNNBL1 (Montrer CTNNBL1 Anticorps) provides a binding site for CDC5L, a binding partner in the Prp19 (Montrer PRPF19 Anticorps)-CDC5L complex.
CTNNBL1 (Montrer CTNNBL1 Anticorps) is a novel nuclear localization sequence-binding protein (Montrer NSR1 Anticorps) that recognizes RNA-splicing factors CDC5L and Prp31 (Montrer PRPF31 Anticorps)
Dbf4 (Montrer DBF4 Anticorps) regulates the Cdc5 Polo-like kinase (Montrer PLK1 Anticorps) through a distinct non-canonical binding interaction
A central region in hnRNP-M (Montrer HNRNPM Anticorps) is required for interaction with CDC5L/PLRG1 (Montrer PLRG1 Anticorps).
Blom7alpha is a novel splicing factor (Montrer SLU7 Anticorps) of the K homology domain family that might be implicated in alternative splicing by helping to position the CDC5L-SNEV(Prp19-Pso4 (Montrer PRPF19 Anticorps)) complex at the splice sites
Results suggest that CDC5 may have dual roles in miRNA biogenesis: functioning as a positive transcription factor of MIR (Montrer MYLIP Anticorps) and/or acting as a component of the DICER (Montrer DICER1 Anticorps)-LIKE1 complex to enhance primary miRNA processing.
Silencing of AtCDC5 in wild-type plants all induces cell death.
These results suggest that AtCDC5 is essential for the G2/M phase transition and may regulate the function of SAM by controlling the expression of STM and WUS.
The protein encoded by this gene shares a significant similarity with Schizosaccharomyces pombe cdc5 gene product, which is a cell cycle regulator important for G2/M transition. This protein has been demonstrated to act as a positive regulator of cell cycle G2/M progression. It was also found to be an essential component of a non-snRNA spliceosome, which contains at least five additional protein factors and is required for the second catalytic step of pre-mRNA splicing.
