Immunogène Synthetic Calcitonin Gene Related Peptide (Peninsula), conjugated to BSA.
Specificité This antibody reacts with Calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP). Absoprtion with 10-100 μg CGRP per ml diluted antiserum abolishes the staining while Calcitonin does not. It does not cross-react with Amylin (IAPP).
Purification Serum

Antigène
Autre désignation CGRP / CALCA (CALCA Antibody Extrait)
Sujet The CGRP-sequence was predicted from the corresponding mRNA. CGRP is present in the C-cells of the thyroid and in nerves, in both brain and periphery, particularly within the sensory system. CGRP is a potent vasodilator, probably involved in neurogenic inflammation. Medullary carcinomas of the thyroid contain large amounts of CGRP.Synonyms: Alpha-type CGRP, CALC1, CGRP-I, Calcitonin gene-related peptide I
ID gène 796
NCBI Accession NP_001029125
UniProt P06881
Pathways Hormone Activity, cAMP Metabolic Process, Myometrial Relaxation and Contraction, Regulation of G-Protein Coupled Receptor Protein Signaling, Skeletal Muscle Fiber Development, Feeding Behaviour
