Can sense non-self dsDNA that serves as template for transcription into dsRNA. The non-self RNA polymerase III transcripts, such as Epstein-Barr virus-encoded RNAs(EBERs) induce type I interferon and NF-Kappa-B through the RIG-I pathway(By similarity).
