    BD Pharmingen™
    Specificité
Bioassay: Activity Range Tested by MTT/Actinomycin D Cytolysis Assay using L929 indicator cells
    Specific Activity: 0.25 - 5.0 x 10^9 Units /mg
    ED50: 2 - 40 pg/ml
    Observed Dose response: 250 fold
The Unit is defined as the amount of material required to stimulate a half-maximal response at cytokine saturation. Since applications vary, titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results.
    Attributs du produit
Recombinant rat TNF is supplied as a frozen liquid comprised of 0.22 µm sterile-filtered aqueous buffered solution containing 2 mg/ml biotechnology grade, low endotoxin bovine serum albumin, with no preservatives. Recombinant rat TNF was purified by immunoaffinity chromatography and yielded a TNF protein fraction which was found to be > 95% pure by SDS-PAGE analysis, and an absorbance assay based on the Beers-Lambert law.

  • Indications d'application
ELISA Standard: Recombinant rat TNF is useful as a quantitative standard for measuring rat TNF protein levels in a TNF specific sandwich ELISA with purified TN3-19.12 antibody (Cat. No. 557516) as a capture antibody and biotinylated rabbit anti-mouse/rat TNF antibody (Cat. No. 557432) as the detection antibody. To obtain linear standard curves, doubling dilutions of rat TNF standard from ~10 ng - 0.1 ng/ml should be included in each ELISA plate.
Note: This ELISA pair is recommended primarily for measuring cytokine from experimental cell culture systems. For measuring rat TNF in serum or plasma the rat TNF OptEIA™ Set (Cat. No. 558535) and rat TNF OptEIA™ Kit (Cat. No. 560479) are specially formulated and recommended.
