Ready-to-use AvitagTM biotinylated protein:
The product is exclusively produced using the AvitagTM technology. Briefly, a unique 15 amino acid peptide, the Avi tag, is introduced into the recombinant protein during expression vector construction. The single lysine residue in the Avi tag is enzymatically biotinylated by the E. Coli biotin ligase BirA.

This single-point enzymatic labeling technique brings many advantages for commonly used binding assays. The biotinylation happens on the lysine residue of Avi tag, and therefore does NOT interfere with the target protein's natural binding activities. In addition, when immobilized on an avidin-coated surface, the protein orientation is uniform because the position of the Avi tag in the protein is precisely controlled.

Sujet: Interleukin 23 receptor (IL-23R) is a type I cytokine receptor, and IL-23R pairs with the receptor molecule IL12RB1/IL12Rbeta1, and both are required for IL23A signaling. Also, IL-23R associates constitutively with Janus kinase 2 (JAK2), and binds to transcription activator STAT3 in a ligand-dependent manner. Furthermore, IL-23R mediates T-cells, NK cells and possibly certain macrophage/myeloid cells stimulation probably through activation of the Jak-Stat signaling cascade. As for IL-23, it may be responsible for autoimmune inflammatory diseases and be important for tumorigenesis.
