For Research Use only
Buffer
Supplied frozen in 25 mM TRIS buffer, pH 7.5, with 155 M NaCl, and 0.09 % NaN3. 0.1-5 % of the total protein is Troponin I.
Agent conservateur
Sodium azide
Précaution d'utilisation
WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Conseil sur la manipulation
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Sujet
Troponin I is a part of the troponin complex. It binds to actin in thin myofilaments to hold the actin-tropomyosin complex in place. Because of it myosin cannot bind actin in relaxed muscle. When calcium binds to the Troponin C it causes conformational changes which lead to dislocation of troponin I and finally tropomyosin leaves the binding site for myosin on actin leading to contraction of muscle. Description: Human cardiac tissue.
