Findings identify RGS12 as a candidate tumor-suppressor gene in AA prostate cancer, which acts by decreasing expression of AKT (Montrer AKT1 Anticorps) and MNX1 (Montrer MNX1 Anticorps), establishing a novel oncogenic axis in this disparate disease setting.
Data support the notion that the Galpha (Montrer SUCLG1 Anticorps), but not Gbetagamma, arm of the Gi/o signalling is involved in TRPC4 (Montrer TRPC4 Anticorps) activation and unveil new roles for RGS (Montrer PITX2 Anticorps) and RGS12 in fine-tuning TRPC4 (Montrer TRPC4 Anticorps) activities.
RGS12 is essential for the terminal differentiation of osteoclasts induced by RANKL (Montrer TNFSF11 Anticorps).
RGS12 protein plays an important role in the pathogenesis of cardiac hypertrophy and could be a novel target for molecular therapy.
Rgs12 mutant mice had growth retardation with the phenotype of increased bone mass.
RGS12 splice variants exhibit differential spatiotemporal patterns of expression during postimplantation embryogenesis, suggesting nonoverlapping roles
This gene encodes a member of the 'regulator of G protein signaling' (RGS) gene family. The encoded protein may function as a guanosine triphosphatase (GTPase)-activating protein as well as a transcriptional repressor. This protein may play a role in tumorigenesis. Multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene. Other alternative splice variants have been described but their biological nature has not been determined.
