Specificité
- Recognises a different epitope than clone 4H9 (BM357). 5D5 mAb binding decreases only partly after CA treatment. It is possible that the antigen determinant is exposed more openly after DEP modification of histidine residues, whereas this determinant becomes barely accesible after lysine modification. Human serum, containing CRF-binding protein, inhibits the binding of CRF to this antibody.Aff. Const.:1.5 x 10-8M for native CRF, 2 x 10-9M for modified CRF

Indications d'application
-
ELISA: High binding constant allows this antibody to be used in a sandwich ELISA withclone number 4H9 (BM357), Sensitivity: 25 pg/mL. Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections: A 4 μg/mL solution has worked well on paraffinsections, after microwave pre-treatment.0.1 % trypsin digestion may also be necessary,The detection system used was avidin-biotin. Immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections.

Sujet
- CRF precursor is a 41-amino acid peptide derived from a 196-amino acid preprohormone. CRF is a neuroendocrine hormone secreted by the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) of the hypothalamus and is a key player in the hypothalamic pituitary adrenal axis. It is also synthesized in peripheral tissues, such as T lymphocytes and is highly expressed in the placenta. Neuronal CRF is important in a variety of diverse roles including, memory, depression, stress, kidney function, parturition, metabolism and feeding (to mention a few).Synonyms: CRF, CRH, Corticotropin-Releasing Factor, Corticotropin-Releasing Hormone
