Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity ofhENA-78 (1.0 ng/mL), a concentration of 15-20 μg/mL of this antibody is required. ELISA: To detect hENA-78 by direct ELISA (using 100 l/well antibody solution) aconcentration of at least 0.5 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinitypurified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detectionof 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinant hENA-78. Western Blot: To detect hENA-78 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at aconcentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagentsthe detection limit for recombinant hENA-78 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing ornon-reducing conditions.
Other applications not tested.

Sujet
- CXCL5 is a a 9.9kD inflammatory chemokine that belongs to the CXC chemokine family. CXCL5 is expressed by fibroblasts, is induced by bacterial lipopolysaccharides, and is chemotactic for neutrophils. This chemokine is produced concomitantly with Interleukin 8 (IL8) in response to stimulation with either Interleukin 1 (IL1) or Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha (TNFA). This chemokine is a potent chemotaxin involved in neutrophil activation.Synonyms: C-X-C motif chemokine 5, Cytokine LIX, ENA-78, Epithelial-derived neutrophil-activating protein 78, Neutrophil-activating peptide ENA-78, SCYB5, Small-inducible cytokine B5
