ELISA. Indirect: To detect hNP-1 by indirect ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) aconcentration of 0.5-2.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This antibody, in conjunctionwith compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well ofrecombinant hNP-1. Sandwich: To detect hNP-1 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) aconcentration of 0.5-2.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This antibody, in conjunctionwith a biotinylated Anti-Human NP-1 (PP1112B) as a detection antibody, allows thedetection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinant hNP-1. Western Blot: To detect hNP-1 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of0.1- 0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limitfor recombinant hNP-1 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition (ND50) of the biological activity of hNP-1 (100 ng/mL),a concentration of 0.40-0.60 μg/mL of this antibody has been used with previous lots.

Sujet
- Defensins are a group of cyclic peptides containing 29-35 amino acids, which comprise approximately 30 % of the total protein content of neutrophil azurophilic granules. Various functions have been reported for the defensins, including antibacterial and antifungal activity and chemotactic activity for monocytes.Synonyms: DEF-1, DEF-3, DEF-A1, DEF-A2, DEF-A3, DEF1, DEF3, DEFA-1, DEFA-2, DEFA-3, DEFA1, DEFA2, DEFA3, Defensin alpha 1, Defensin alpha 3, HNP-1, HNP-3, HNP1, HNP3, HP-1, HP-3, HP1, HP3, MRS, Neutrophil defensin 1, Neutrophil defensin 3
