This antibody reacts with CD182 / IL8RB at N-term. BLAST analysis of the peptide immunogen showed no homology with other human proteins, except EYA3 (50 %).
Immunohistochemistry on paraffin embedded sections: 4-16 μg/mL. Antigen retrieval: Steam slides in 0.01 M sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0, at 99-100 °C for 20 min. Remove from heat and let stand at room temperature in buffer for 20 min. Rinse in 1x TBS with Tween (TBST) for 1 min. at room temperature. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. Further Comments: This product was originally produced by MBL International.

The IL8RB is a chemokine receptor also known as type 1 interleukin-8 receptor. There are three interleukin-8 receptors on chromosome 2: IL8RA (type 2), IL8RB (type 1), and a pseudogene. Results from mouse knock-out studies suggest that IL8RB may inhibit the expansion and development of neutrophils and B cells (Cacalano et al., 1994). IL8RB is a high-affinity receptor for IL8, and for GROalpha, beta, and gamma (Ahuja and Murphy, 1996). IL8RB has been reported to be expressed in a wide variety of tissues.
