- Sujet
- CD37, also known as Tspan26 is a 40-60 kD member of the tetraspanin (TM4SF) family, with two extracellular regions and both termini in the cytoplasm. CD37 is highly expressed on mature B cells and is also expressed on T cells, monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils, and dendritic cells to a lesser extent. CD37 forms complexes in the cell membrane with CD53, CD81, CD82, MHC class II and dectin 1. CD37 is essential for B cell survival, regulates T cell proliferation, IgA production, and is involved in dendritic cell migration. CD37 has been described as a promising target in the treatment of B cell malignancies.
