The N-CAM glycoprotein is expressed on many different cell and tissue types including natural killer (NK) lymphocytes, a subset of T lymphocytes and interleukin-2 (IL-2)-activated thymocytes, and neural, neuroendocrine, and degenerating of diseased muscle tissue.
