Sujet
PGES-1 is a membrane associated protein involved in eicosanoid and glutathione metabolism as part of the arachidonic acid signaling pathway. The expression of this protein is induced by the proinflammatory cytokine IL-1B and its' activity is glutathione dependent. PGES is also expressed at high levels in P53 expressing cells.Synonyms: MGST1-L1, MGST1L1, MPGES-1, MPGES1, PGES, PIG12, Prostaglandin E synthase, p53-induced gene 12 protein
