Sujet
- FHL1 (SLIM 1) is a LIM domain protein transcript that is preferentially expressed in postnatal skeletal muscle but little is known about its function in this tissue. LIM proteins, (named for 'LIN11, ISL1 and MEC3') are defined by the possession of a highly conserved double zinc finger motif called the LIM domain. FHL1 may have an involvement in muscle development or hypertrophy. Isoform 2 binds to RBP J and plays a negative regulatory role in the RBP J mediated transcription in mammalian systems.Synonyms: FHL-1, FHL1, Four and a half LIM domains protein 1, SLIM, SLIM-1, SLIM1, Skeletal Muscle LIM-protein 1
