Sujet
Leucomalachite Green is a by-product of Malachite Green a dye extensively used to treat fungal infections in fish. The dye persists as Leucomalachite Green in the tissues of fish and has been reported to cause carcinogenesis, mutagenesis, chromosomal fractures, teratogenicity, and respiratory toxicity. MRLs for Malachite Green have not been set by the European Union, Canada, the USA or Japan. The European Union has introduced MRPLs for banned substances, and has set a minimum detection limit for Malachite Green assays of 2 ppb for the sum of Malachite Green and Leucomalachite Green in the meat of aquaculture products.Synonyms: 4, 4\\\'-Bis(dimethylamino)triphenylmethane, Leuco malachite green, Malachite green leuco base, N-dimethylaniline), Tetramethyldiaminotriphenylmethane, p, p\\\'-Benzylidenebis(N
