Synonyms: PhosphoTyrosine (pY)reactive antibody, PhosphoTyrosine (pY) polyclonal antibody, PhosphoTyrosine antibody produced in rabbit

    Purification

Anti-PhosphoTyrosine (pY) Antibody was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using phosphorylated tyrosine peptide coupled to agarose.

    Stérilité

    Sterile filtered

    Immunogène

Immunogen: This Anti-PhosphoTyrosine antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with phosphotyrosine conjugated KLH.

    Immunogen Type: Other

    Isotype

    IgG
  • Indications d'application

    Immunohistochemistry Dilution: 1:50

Application Note: Anti-PhosphoTyrosine (pY) Antibody is tested for use in ELISA, western blotting, immunohistochemistry-P, immunoprecipitation, and Non-radioactive Tyrosine kinase assays.  Anti-PhosphoTyrosine (pY) Antibody reacts specifically with phosphotyrosine and shows minimal reactivity by ELISA and western blotting with proteins containing phosphothreonine or phosphoserine residues. Anti-PhosphoTyrosine (pY) Antibody reacts with free phosphotyrosine, phosphotyrosine conjugated to carriers such as thyroglobulin or BSA, and detects the presence of phosphotyrosine in proteins of both unstimulated and stimulated cell lysates.  Although not tested, Anti-PhosphoTyrosine (pY) Antibody is likely functional in RIA and flow cytometry.

    Western Blot Dilution: 1:250

    Immunoprecipitation Dilution: 10.0 μg/ 500 μg sample

    ELISA Dilution: 1:1,000

Other: Non-radioactive Tyrosine Kinase Assay: User Optimized

    Sujet

Background: Phosphotyrosine is the tyrosine amino acid that has been phosphorylated and is considered one of the integral steps in signal transduction and general enzyme activity. Tyrosine is phosphorylated through protein kinases and through phosphorylation, phosphotyrosine can bind other proteins causing binding of multi-protein complexes that connect the upstream kinases and downstream effectors. Phosphotyrosine-binding domains, or PTB's, are pervasive throughout the study of signal transduction and disease. Anti-Phosphotyrosine (pY) Antibody is ideal for investigators in Cancer, Signal Transduction, and Cell Signaling research.
