Fonction
- Anti-Estrogen Receptor beta Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
-
Specificité
- This antibody recognizes human ER-b, a novel receptor (approx. 52 kD) recently isolated from testis. The size and structure of ER-b are very similar to ER-alpha with the ligand and DNA binding domains being highly conserved. The N-terminus of each receptor, which serves as their transactivation domain, are significantly different. Like ER-alpha, ER-b binds to estrogen with a high affinity and regulates estrogen-specific gene activation through direct interaction with estrogen response elements.

Sujet
- Estrogen receptor beta,Nuclear hormone receptor. Binds estrogens with an affinity similar to that of ESR1/ER-alpha, and activates expression of reporter genes containing estrogen response elements (ERE) in an estrogen-dependent manner (PubMed:20074560). {PubMed:20074560, PubMed:29261182, PubMed:30113650, PubMed:9325313}., [Isoform 2]: Lacks ligand binding ability and has no or only very low ERE binding activity resulting in the loss of ligand-dependent transactivation ability. {PubMed:9671811}.,Nucleus,ER-beta, Nuclear receptor subfamily 3 group A member 2
