AGPAT5, 1-acyl-sn-glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase epsilon, 1-acylglycerol-3-phosphate O-acyltransferase 5, 1-AGP acyltransferase 5, 1-AGPAT 5, Lysophosphatidic acid acyltransferase epsilon, LPAAT-epsilonAGPAT5 (1-acylglycerol-3-phosphate O-acyltransferase 5) encodes a member of the 1-acylglycerol-3-phosphate O-acyltransferase family. This integral membrane protein converts lysophosphatidic acid to phosphatidic acid, the second step in de novo phospholipid biosynthesis. A pseudogene of AGPAT5 is present on the Y chromosome.
