Sujet
- DNA-binding protein SATB2, Special AT-rich sequence-binding protein 2SATB2 (SATB Homeobox 2) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with SATB2 include Glass Syndrome and Satb2-Associated Syndrome. SATB2 encodes a DNA binding protein that specifically binds nuclear matrix attachment regions. The encoded protein is involved in transcription regulation and chromatin remodeling. Defects in SATB2 are associated with isolated cleft palate and cognitive disability. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants that encode the same protein.
