Sujet
- Background: Matrin 3 is a nuclear matrix protein that has been observed to mediate multiple cellular processes. Matrin 3 can function to withhold defective RNAs within the nucleus by anchoring them to the nuclear matrix and modulate the promoter activity of genes proximal to matrix/scaffold attachment region (MAR/SAR). Matrin 3 has also been demonstrated to be the main PKA substrate following NMDA receptor activation in NMDA-induced neuronal cell death.
