Sujet: Background: SRC1 and TIF2 associated binding protein (STAMP) is a polyglutamylase which preferentially modifies alpha-tubulin. STAMP is involved in the side-chain initiation step of the polyglutamylation reaction rather than in the elongation step (By similarity). It is required for CCSAP localization to both spindle and cilia microtubules.
