Sujet: Background: HMG20B/BRAF35 was originally identified as a factor that interacted with the BRCA2 multiprotein-complex. In association with BRCA2, HMG20B/BRAF35 plays a role in mitotic progression. HMG20B also associates with a six-subunit BRCA2-devoid complex similar to SWI/SNF and NuRD that displays deacetylating and chromatin-remodeling activity and mediates repression of neuron-specific genes.
