- Sujet
- Background: TRIM16/EBBP is a member of the tripartite motif RBCC/Trim domain family that contains a RING-finger domain, B-boxes, and an alpha-helical coiled-coil region. TRIM16/EBBP has been identified as an estrogen and anti-estrogen regulated gene in keratinocytes and may be important for keratinocyte differentiation. Studies show that TRIM16/EBBP also plays a role in interleukin-1beta cytokine secretion and transactivation of the retinoic acid response element beta (betaRARE).
