ZCCHC8 also bears a PSP domain, a proline rich domain found in numerous splicesome associated proteins. ZCCHC8 has been identified as a component of the splicesome C complex and as a substrate of glycogen synthase kinase-3. It is suggested to play a role in the processing and metabolism of RNA.
