Specificité: This antibody recognises rat leukosialin, a major cell-surface sialoglycoprotein of thymocytes and T lymphocytes. It is also expressed on neutrophils, bone marrow stem cells and B-lineage cells after activation. The specificity of the leukosialin epitope is largely determined by linear protein sequence, as indicated by the reaction of this antibody with the extracellular domain of leukosialian expressed in an unglycosylated form in E. coli. However, the sensitivity of this antibody to neuraminidase treatment of leukosialin indicates that glycosylation can modify epitope conformation or flexibility.

This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG2b format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
