Specificité:

This antibody recognizes desmoglein 3. It does not cross-react with desmoglein 1 or desmoglein 2. Desmoglein-3 is a calcium binding membrane protein that is localized in desmosome cellular junctions and interacts with plaque proteins and intermediate filaments at cell-cell adhesion points.

Application Notes original Clone: This antibody can be used for detection and analysis of desmoglein-3 via various methods. For instance, 5G11 was utilized todetect desmoglein-3 in human scalp hair follicles and epidermal inclusions via immunohistochemistry (Wu et al., 2003). Another group successfully used this antibody to identify desmoglein-3 via Western blot (Mao et al., 2017, pmid: 28469076). The antibody 5G11 was also used to detect DSG3 in cells via immunofluorescence (Chen et al., 2013, pmid: 23737966).
