Fonction
- Anti-CD7 [3A1f], Mouse IgG1, kappa
-
Specificité
- This antibody binds human CD7. CD7 is expressed on the majority of immature and mature T-lymphocytes, and T cell leukemia. It is also found on natural killer cells, a small subpopulation of normal B cells and on malignant B cells. CD7 is useful in the identification of precursor T cells as well as an important marker for the identification of leukemic T cells.

Indications d'application
- The binding affinity of the scFv version of this antibody was determined using surface plasmon resonance. The affinity of the scFv antibody for human CD7 was found to be 1.8 nM. This the scFv version of this antibody was also used in the generation of single-chain Fv (scFv) immunotoxins specific for the T cell-associated antigen CD7 as a novel therapeutic agent for treatment of human T cell malignancies (PMID: 9120282). This antibody was also used in the generation of a therapeutic fusion protein scFvCD7:sTRAIL, designed to induce target antigen-restricted apoptosis in human T-cell tumors. The binding of the fusion protein to CD7 was tested with flow cytometry (PMID: 15833872).
