Specificité: This antibody binds human cytokeratin 20. Cytokeratins are intermediate filaments found in the intracytoplasmic cytoskeleton of epithelial tissue. There are 19 keratin polypeptides are found in human epithelium. Cytokeratin 20 plays a significant role in maintaining keratin filament organization in intestinal epithelia. When phosphorylated, it plays a role in the secretion of mucin in the small intestine.

Indications d'application: The binding characterization of this antibody was done using ELISA. The affinity constant of the original IgG2a antibody was determined to be 1.92 x 10^9 M^(-1). This antibody was capable of detecting recombinant CK20 protein in a western blot assay. This antibody is similar to commercially available anti-Cytokeratin 20 antibody KS20.8 in staining various human tissues. This antibody was used in the immunohistochemical staining of stomach epithelial tissues and gastric adenocarcinomas (CN113583120).
