    Sujet

Synonyms: Cell adhesion molecule 1 (Immunoglobulin superfamily member 4) (IgSF4) (Nectin-like protein 2) (NECL-2) (Spermatogenic immunoglobulin superfamily) (SgIgSF) (Synaptic cell adhesion molecule) (SynCAM) (Tumor suppressor in lung cancer 1) (TSLC-1)

Target Description: SynCAM1 cell adhesion molecule, Immunoglobulin superfamily member 4 (IgSF4), or Nectin-like protein 2 (NECL-2) is encoded by the gene CADM1 and is a member of the Immunoglobulin-like Cell Adhesion Molecules family. SynCam1 is a cell adhesion molecule involved in many cell processes including the mediation of cell-cell adhesion and assembly, neuronal migration axon growth and differentiation. SynCAM1 is expressed in many tissue types including, brain, lung, kidney, heart, spleen and liver. Diseases associated with this gene include Retroperitoneal Fibrosis and Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder.
