Specificité
- Mouse Anti-Human Follicle Stimulating Hormone ? (Clone 181) recognizes Human Follicle Stimulating Hormone ?. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype. Background Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) is a heterodimeric glycoprotein and is composed of alpha and beta subunits. Alpha subunit is common to FSH and LH, while a unique beta subunit determines the biological specificity of each hormone. The synthesis of beta subunit is the primary rate-limiting step in the synthesis of each hormone.1 Human mutations in the FSH beta gene have been shown to produce complete deficiency states in which pubertal development and reproductive capacity are inhibited.2
