Fonction
- Anti-Human Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Alpha-Purified
-
Specificité
- Mouse Anti-Human Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Alpha (TSH-?) (Clone 176) recognizes Human Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Alpha. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype. Background Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), also known as thyrotropin, is a glycoprotein hormone1 that regulates the endocrine function of the thyroid gland.2 The most important controller of TSH secretion is thyroid-releasing hormone. Thyroid-releasing hormone is secreted by hypothalamic neurons into hypothalamic-hypophyseal portal blood, finds its receptors on thyrotrophs in the anterior pituitary and stimulates secretion of TSH.1 Independent of age, thyroid cancer incidence correlates with higher TSH. Higher TSH is associated with extrathyroidal extension of disease.3
