Synonyms: G-protein coupled receptor 174, LYPSR3, GPCR17, FKSG79
Description: GPR174 (LysoPS, LYPSR3), is one of three lysophosphatidyl serine receptors, belonging to the superfamily of G-protein coupled receptors. Lysophospholipids are a diverse group of small, membrane-derived phospholipids that act as extracellular signals1.Activation of GPR174 leads to an increase in cAMP cellular levels, leading to cellular morphological changes, cell to cell adhesion, and delays in cell proliferation2.GPR174 is reported to be a genetic risk locus for Graves disease, an autoimmune disorder that causes hyperthyroidism3 and as a negative regulator of T-cells activation4.
