Is active in external side of plasma membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system, genitourinary system, heart, nervous system, and respiratory system. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in hereditary spastic paraplegia 64. Orthologous to human ENTPD1 (ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 1).
