Synonyms: E3 ubiquitin protein ligase TRAF7, RFWD1, Ring finger and WD repeat domain 1, RING finger protein 119, RNF119, TNF receptor associated factor 7, TRAF7_HUMAN.
Background: TNF receptor associated factor 7 (TRAF7) is an E3 ubiquitin ligase capable of auto ubiquination, following phosphorylation by MAP3K3. TRAF7 potentiates MEKK3 mediated activation of the NFkappaB, JUN/AP1 and DDIT3 transcriptional regulators. TRAF7 induces apoptosis when over expressed.
