    Fonction

    Folate Binding Protein Antibody

    Réactivité croisée (Details)

Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Goat Serum as well as purified and partially purified Folate Binding Protein [Bovine Milk].

    Attributs du produit

Synonyms: goat anti-Folate Binding Protein Antibody, Folate receptor alpha, FR-alpha, Folate receptor 1, Milk folate-binding protein, Folate-binding protein 1, FBP

    Purification

Anti-FOLATE BINDING PROTEIN is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above.

    Immunogène

Immunogen: Folate Binding Protein [Bovine Milk]

    Immunogen Type: Native Protein

    Isotype

    IgG
  • Indications d'application

Application Note: FOLATE BINDING PROTEIN Antibody has been assayed against 1.0 μg of Folate Binding Protein [Bovine Milk] in a standard ELISA using Peroxidase conjugated Affinity Purified anti-Goat IgG [H&L] (Rabbit) code #605-4302 and (ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature.  A working dilution of 1:10,000 to 1:40,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product.  Highest levels of antigen binding and antibody reactivity were observed using Nunc brand MaxiSorp immunoplates.

    Western Blot Dilution: 1:500 - 1:5,000

    Immunoprecipitation Dilution: 1:100

    ELISA Dilution: 1:5,000 - 1:20,000

    Sujet

Background: Folate Binding Protein binds to folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and mediates delivery of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and folate analogs into the interior of cells. It has a high affinity for folate and folic acid analogs at neutral pH . Exposure to slightly acidic pH after receptor endocytosis triggers a conformation change that strongly reduces its affinity for folates and mediates their release. It is required for normal embryonic development and normal cell proliferation.
