Indications d'application: Before using Kit, spin tubes and bring down all components to bottom of tube. Duplicate well assay was recommended for both standard and sample testing.

Protocole: ELISA Kit is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. An antibody has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection antibody specific for target is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the target amount in sample captured in plate.

Background: Contactin-4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CNTN4 gene. It is mapped to 6, 6 E1. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored neuronal membrane protein that functions as a cell adhesion molecule. It may play a role in the formation of axon connections in the developing nervous system. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of some of these variants has not been determined.
