This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-RFP2 antibody (Catalog #: ARP34144_T100). It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications.
The protein encoded by RFP2 is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. The protein localizes to cytoplasmic bodies near the nucleus, but its function is unknown. RFP2 is located on chromosome 13 within the minimal deletion region for B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
