    Specificité

Precipitating polyclonal Goat antiSerum to Chicken IgM, Fc specific

    Réactivité croisée (Details)

The antiSerum does not cross-react with any other component of the Chicken Ig system. Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to immunoglobulins, since Ig of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Crossreactivity of this antiSerum has not been tested in detail.

    Attributs du produit

The reactivity of the antiserum is restricted to the Fc part of the IgM molecule. In immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion, using various antiserum concentrations against normal chicken serum a single precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line obtained with purified IgM. No precipitation reaction is obtained with purified IgG, IgA, and IgG/Fab fragments. In precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion to identify the presence of IgM in chicken serum and other body fluids or to determine its concentration. To prepare an immunoadsorbent for the purification of chicken IgM from serum or plasma.

    Purification

Delipidated, heat inactivated, stable whole serum

    Stérilité

    Heat-inactivated

    Immunogène

Highly purified normal IgM isolated from pooled chicken serum. Freund's complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
  • Indications d'application

In immunoelectrophoresis use 2 μL or equivalent against 120 μL antiserum. In double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) use a rosette arrangement with 10 μL in a 3 mm diameter center well and 2 μL serum samples (neat and serially diluted) in 2 mm diameter peripheral wells.

    Restrictions

    For Research Use only
  • Format

    Lyophilized

    Reconstitution

Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 mL sterile distilled water.Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized, stable whole antiserum No preservative added. Total protein and IgG concentrations in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled normal goat serum. No foreign proteins added. Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 mL sterile distilled water.

    Buffer

Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized, stable whole antiserum No preservative added. Total protein and IgG concentrations in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled normal goat serum. No foreign proteins added.

    Agent conservateur

    Without preservative

    Stock

    RT,4 °C,-20 °C

    Stockage commentaire

The lyophilized antiserum is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4°C, prolonged storage at or below -20°C. Dilutions may be prepared by adding phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the antiserum. Diluted antiserum should be stored at +4°C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day.
