Sujet
- Ganzyma A is a 60kD disulphide-linked homodimeric protein expressed in cytoplasmic granules of cytotoxic lymphocytes. The biological function of Granzyme A is unclear. It would appear that the molecule may have a role in the induction of apoptosis via its activity as a serine protease, but this would seem to be subsidiary to the role of Granzyme B. Granzyme A deficient mice are indistinguishable from normal animals in their response to infection.Synonyms: CTL tryptase, CTLA3, Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte proteinase 1, Fragmentin-1, Granzyme-1, H factor, HFSP, Hanukkah factor
