  • Specificité

This protein A purified mouse monoclonal antibody reacts specifically with thyroglobulin in human tissues. The antibody recognizes a 330-kDa band corresponding to thyroglobulin. Cross reactivity with thyroglobulin from mouse, rat and dog will occur. Cross reactivity with thyroglobulin from other sources has not been determined.

    Purification

    Protein A chromatography.

    Immunogène

This protein A purified monoclonal antibody was produced by repeated immunizations with human thyroglobulin protein. Produced by the fusion between BALB/c mouse splenocytes and mouse myeloma SP2/0 cells after immunization with thyroglobulin from human thyroid gland using conventional hybridoma technology.

    Isotype

    IgG1
  • Indications d'application

Suitable for the detection of thyroglobulin in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry,Immunoblotting and Immunoprecipitation. For Immunohistochemistry, both frozen sections and formalin fixed, paraffin-embeddedtissue sections can be used without epitope retrieval or enzyme digestion. This antibody isspecific for the 330 kDa thyroglobulin protein. Thyroglobulin shows a cytoplasmiclocalization. Thyroid tissue can be used as a positive control. Generally a 1: 50 to 1: 200dilution is suitable for most applications. A 30 to 60 minute incubation time is usuallysufficient. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining systememployed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Both frozen sections andformalin fixed, paraffin embedded tissues are recommended for preparations to use forImmunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

    Thyroglobulin (TG)

    Sujet

Thyroglobulin (Tg) is synthesized by the follicular epithelial cells of the thyroid and secreted from the thyroid gland with the stimulation of TSH and/or thyroid stimulating immunoglobulins. Thyroglobulin is a prognostic marker for Graves` disease. Thyroglobulin antibody has been useful in the positive identification of thyroid carcinomas of the papillary and follicular types.
