Specificité: Recognizes ruminant CD41/CD61, also known as GpIIb/IIIa. CD41/CD61 is a calcium-complex dependent heterodimer and is expressed almost exclusively on platelets and on their precursors, the megakaryocytes. This complex is an activation-dependent receptor for RGD (Arg-Gly-Asp)-containing glycoproteins such as fibrinogen, fibronectin, von Willebrand factor, thrombospondin and vitronectin. It plays a central role in platelet aggregation and haemostasis.
