    Sujet

Neuropeptides B/W receptor type 1 (NPBWR1) is a 328 amino acid protein with three potential glycosylation sites and one disulfide bond. It interacts specifically with a number of opioid ligands. Most notably, it is a receptor for neuropeptides B and W, which are involved in neuroendocrine system regulation, food intake and behaviour. The highest expression of GPR7 has been described in the amygdala and hypothalamic nuclei known to regul ate feeding and social behaviour. GPR7 has a higher affinity for neuropeptide B than for neuropeptide W.
