- Western Blotting (WB), ELISA
- Réactivité croisée (Details)
- Cross reactivity against Glucose-6-Phosphate-Dehydrogenase from other tissues and species may occur but have not been specifically determined.
- Purification
- Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Peroxidase, anti-Goat Serum as well as purified and partially purified Glucose-6-Phosphate-Dehydrogenase [Yeast].

Application Note: Anti-Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase has been assayed against 1.0 μg of Glucose-6-Phosphate-Dehydrogenase [Yeast] in a standard capture ELISA using ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:20,000 to 1:100,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product.

Background: Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase is in the pentose phosphate pathway, a metabolic pathway that supplies reducing energy to cells (such as erythrocytes) by maintaining the level of the co-enzyme nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH), which maintains the level of glutathione in these cells that helps protect the red blood cells against oxidative damage. Cell growth and proliferation are affected by Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase. Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase inhibitors are under investigation to treat cancers and other conditions. DHEA is a Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase inhibitor.
