Sujet
- TXNIP (Thioredoxin-interacting protein), also called VDUP1 (Vitamin D3 upregulated protein 1) is a member of the Arrestin family of signal transduction proteins. It is a potent tumor suppressor, blocking tumor growth via blocking cell cycle progression, and reduced expression of TXNIP is found in many tumors. One way TXNIP exerts its tumor suppressive function is by suppressing NF-kB activation, possibly via regulation of the NF-kB subunit p65.
